| FACIAL AESTHETICS Facial Peels The Langsdon Clinic provides facial peels tailored to your needs. Chemical peels are designed to smooth rough, dry, and sun-damaged, skin giving your face a brighter and fresher texture. Microdermabrasion Pure, fine mineral crystals are swept across the face to remove damaged skin, reduce pore size and stimulate cell renewal and collagen production. Packages are available. Dermablade Exfoliation with the removal of “peach fuzz” hair. Your face will have a smooth, radiant glow after a dermablade. Dermesse Our clinic offers several products for the treatment of wrinkles and uneven skin tone/age spots. The DERMESSE system offers an affordable option to some of the more expensive products. It is a prescription-strength system that produces noticeable and lasting changes in your skin’s appearance. Our medical staff has advanced training on the use and care of this system. Obagi Nu-Derm Healthy, youthful looking skin can come from a doctor’s office, but not a cosmetic bottle. Our Medical Spa staff has advanced training and experience in the latest techniques of skin health restoration that effectively corrects problems that cosmetics can only cover up. The Obagi Nu-Derm system is a prescription home-treatment program that diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture, and elasticity, and corrects uneven pigmentation (age spots). Mineral Make-up The Langsdon Clinic offers make-up sessions and application. We currently offer Jane Iredale™ mineral make-up. Jane Iredale’s line is a highly-sophisticated blend of minerals and pigments that are micro-pulverized, using proprietary technology and processes to form microscopic flat crystals. These crystals overlap each other on the skin to form a filter that allows the skin to breathe and function normally, while still protecting it from air-born pollutants. The staying power of the minerals is so great that they rarely need a touch-up during the day. And because these silky-feeling powders are water-resistant, they won’t crease or smear, even during the most strenuous exercise. These state-of-the-art minerals are available in many colors. MEDICAL AESTHETICS The Langsdon Clinic is unique in that our medical services are provided by Registered Nurses with experience in aesthetic care and training in all aspects of skin care. Dr. Langsdon is on-site and available to the staff. Botox Cosmetic Reduce the worry lines, frown lines, and furrows for 3-6 months with Botox Cosmetics. Dr. Langsdon is a member of the National Education Faculty for Botox. The Langsdon Clinic serves as a training site for Botox Cosmetic. Juvederm The recently FDA approved Juvaderm may be a longer lasting form of hyaluronic acid and is used for some types of lines and folds. No allergy testing is required and it comes in 0.8 cc syringes. Restylane Another FDA approved hyaluronic acid, Restylane lasts longer than human-based collagen. It is available in 0.4 and 1.0 syringes and does not require allergy testing. Cosmoderm Cosmoderm is perfect for fuller lips, lip lines, laugh lines, and depressed scars. No allergy testing is required and can last up to six months. Sculptra Sculptra is a synthetic, injectable material known as “poly-L-lactic acid” and is injected below the surface of the skin, providing a gradual increase in skin thickness. Treatment results may last up to 2 years. Sculptra is used for the treatment of facial lipoatrophy and to fill in the nasolabial folds that deepen with aging. Several treatments are required. LASER AESTHETICS The Palomar StarLux pulsed light and laser system is the most powerful, light-based aesthetic system on the market. It uses pulses of intense lamplight to provide permanent hair reduction, photo facials, and treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions. The StarLux offers quick, comfortable and effective results. |
